Groupe BPCE named Bank of the Year 2015 in France by the financial affairs magazine, The Banker

December 3, 2015

The Banker, a financial affairs magazine owned by the Financial Times group, recently awarded Groupe BPCE the title “Banque of the Year 2015” in France.

The Banker is the world’s premier magazine devoted to international banking news read in more than 180 countries, with a unique database of more than 4,000 banking institutions ranked in terms of their financial strength, profitability and return on assets vis-à-vis their competitors.

Awarded yesterday evening at a ceremony in London attended by François Pérol, this “Banker Award” gives official recognition to the financial and commercial results of Groupe BPCE, its financial strength (with a significant improvement in its capital adequacy in 2014 and a Tier-1 Common Equity ratio of 12% at the end of December) along with its achievements in terms of innovation.

We owe this success to the active commitment of the 108,000 employees of Groupe BPCE, of its subsidiaries, its two retail banking networks (Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne) and of Natixis in favor of the Group’s 36 million customers.
