Fabrice Gourgeonnet appointed Head of Financial Solutions & Expertise (SEF), member of the Executive Management Committee
Fabrice Gourgeonnet, currently Chairman of the Management Board of Caisse d’Epargne Auvergne- Limousin (CEPAL), has been appointed Head of BPCE’s Financial Solutions & Expertise (SEF) division as from September 1, 2024. He will succeed Catherine Halberstadt, a senior executive who has left her mark on a Group in which she has spent the whole of a rich and diversified career.
The SEF division houses Groupe BPCE’s expertise in the areas of specialized financing (leasing, consumer finance, factoring, sureties & guarantees, real estate development financing), securities custody, international development advisory and real estate solutions.
Biography of Fabrice Gourgeonnet
After beginning his career with LCL then Arthur Andersen, Fabrice Gourgeonnet joined Groupe BPCE in 2004 as Manager within Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne’s General Inspection team. In 2008 he became a member of the Executive Committee of Caisse d’Epargne d’Auvergne et du Limousin, where he served successively as Head of Banking and Recovery Services, Head of Retail Banking and Head of the Bank for Regional Decision-Makers.
In 2015 Fabrice Gourgeonnet joined BPCE with responsibility for the Companies & Institutions division for the 15 regional Caisse d’Epargne banks. In 2019 he was appointed Head of Development for Caisse d’Epargne. In this role, he was tasked with defining client strategy and policy, steering transformation and driving commercial performance for the Caisse d’Epargne banks. His perimeter of action embraced all markets: Retail Banking (Individuals, Professionals, Private Banking, Legally Protected Persons), Companies, Institutions (Social Economy, Public Housing, Public Sector) and Professional Real Estate.
In 2021 he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Caisse d’Epargne d’Auvergne et du Limousin.
Aged 49, Fabrice Gourgeonnet is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program and of the Institute of IT & Engineering of Limoges (3iL Ingénieurs).
