First meeting of the Business Prospective Commission
As agreed in the collective employment agreement signed with the majority of the trade unions on September 13th, 2013, Natixis held on 14 October 2013 the first meeting of the Business Prospective Commission with its social partners.
In this meeting, Natixis shared with the trade unions the staff forecasts for the different business lines until the end of 2015, both in France and globally. The number of Natixis employees is projected to remain stable at around 15,500 globally.
Natixis stated that discussions on activities for which the economic and regulatory context may induce position adjustments will begin mid-November. These adjustments could result into the suppression of circa 700 positions.
These potential adjustments would be implemented in accordance with the collective employment agreement that states notably that any potential reorganization, within the next three years and impacting employment, will be implemented in priority through internal mobility, along with a targeted effort on training programs and without any form of forced departure. Therefore, potential departures will be on a voluntary basis only, and exclusively within the framework of end-of-career leaves or external professional projects.
