Gils Berrous joins Natixis as member of the Senior Management Committee, in charge of the Specialized Financial Services division
Natixis announced today the appointment of Gils Berrous as member of the Senior Management Committee, in charge of Specialized Financial Services
Gils Berrous spent most of his career at Groupe BPCE, first at BRED Banques Populaires (1983-2002) where he held several management positions, and then as Chief Executive Officer of Natexis Factorem (2002-2005). Since 2006, Gils Berrous has been Chief Executive Officer of Banque Populaire du Nord.
He will be in charge of the Specialized Financial Services division which includes financial services – employee savings schemes, payments, securities services – and specialized financing – factoring, sureties and guarantees, leasing, consumer finance, film industry financing.
Gils Berrous will take over from Jean-Yves Forel who is joining BPCE as Chief Executive Officer, member of the Management Board in charge of Commercial Banking and Insurance.
Biography - Gils Berrous:
Gils Berrous began his career in 1981 as a teacher at Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales of Angers. From 1983 to 2002, at BRED Banques Populaires, he held the positions of Branch Manager, Manager of the Calvados Business Center, Chief of the Sales Manager’s office, Regional Manager Ile de la Réunion, and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Committee of La Banque du crédit Liégeois and of the brokerage firm Pitt. He then became Head of Personal Clients, Regional Manager Paris Est-Seine Saint Denis, and finally Head of Corporate Clients. In 2002, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Natexis Factorem.
Since 2006, he has been Chief Executive Officer of Banque Populaire du Nord.
Gils Berrous, age 57, holds a DEA (post-graduate diploma) in monetary economy from Université de Dauphine and he is a graduate of Institut de Technique Bancaire (ITB).
