Groupe BPCE becomes the first banking group to launch Samsung Pay in France
The Samsung Pay mobile payment solution is available as from today exclusively for Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne customers equipped with compatible Samsung smartphones.
Samsung Pay: simple, fast and secure mobile payment
Thanks to this new mobile payment solution, Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne customers can make their purchases with their smartphones everywhere where Visa contactless payments are accepted in France and abroad.
After registering their bank card in Samsung Pay, users only need to finger swipe upwards on their phone screen to launch the service and authenticate themselves via a PIN, iris recognition or digital fingerprint reader (depending on the model of their phone). They can then pay without limits on the amount simply by placing their smartphone on the payment terminal.
Samsung Pay is a simple, fast and secure payment solution developed in collaboration with Natixis Payment Solutions, Groupe BPCE’s mobile payment and dematerialized prepaid solutions specialist, and in partnership with the Visa payment system.
