Natixis Appoints James Thomson as Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage, Asia Pacific, Corporate & Investment Banking
Natixis is pleased to announce the appointment of James Thomson as Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage, Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, James reports to Aurelien Lasjunies, Head of Coverage, Asia Pacific, and Meriem Smida, Global Head, Sponsor Coverage Group.
James joined Natixis in 2019 as a Managing Director in the Aviation Sector team, Asia Pacific, and has over 18 years’ investment banking experience. He has worked across a broad range of sectors including Aviation, Logistics, Transportation, Technology, Banking & Insurance, Real Estate and Natural Resources in both Asia Pacific and Europe. Prior to joining Natixis, James was with Deutsche Bank where he worked in the M&A team in both the UK and Hong Kong, before being appointed as Head of Transportation, Aviation & Logistics, Asia Pacific.
James joins Natixis’ robust coverage team in Asia Pacific, which provides clients with a comprehensive selection of financial services including advisory, capital markets, structured financing, and hedging and investment solutions. He will work closely alongside Raghu Narain, Head of Investment Banking, APAC: Jean-Thomas Haller, Head of Acquisition and Strategic Finance; Yves Shen, Head of Debt Capital Markets and Capital & Ratings Advisory, Asia Pacific; Miranda Zhao, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, Asia Pacific; and Fabrice Guesde, Head of Credit Markets, Asia Pacific, and Head of Global Structured Credit and Solutions, Asia Pacific.
