Bertrand Guiot appointed Head of Global Infrastructure & Projects, Australia and Moritz Bloch appointed Director, Global Infrastructure & Projects

Bertrand Guiot has joined Natixis’ Sydney office as Head of Global Infrastructure & Projects, Australia, effective from August 1st 2014. He reports to Daniel Klinger, Head of Aircraft, Export & Infrastructure Finance for Asia Pacific, and locally to Michael Lang, Senior Country Manager, Natixis Australia Pty Ltd.

Bertrand relocated to Australia in August 2014 from Canada where he was working for Natixis’ Global Infrastructure & Projects as Executive Director, being part of the team launching Natixis activities in Montreal in 2012. Over the past 18 months, Bertrand notably participated in the successful closing of 6 renewable transactions (wind, solar and biomass projects) totalling 700 MW, supported the bank’s clients on PPP transactions in North America and led a Financial Advisory mandate on a greenfield telecom submarine cable financing.

Prior to Natixis, Bertrand Guiot was at Dexia in Montreal, in charge of the project finance activities across the country, closing numerous PPP financing and advising on renewable energy transactions. Prior to being seconded to Canada, he was at Dexia’s head office in Paris where he was involved in arranging PPPs in the infrastructure sector and corporate/acquisition/export credit financing in the telecom sector.

Moritz Bloch has joined Natixis’ Global Infrastructure & Projects teams as a Director in Paris. He reports to Bénédicte de Giafferri, Head of Global Infrastructure & Projects for France, Germany and Benelux. Moritz will be in charge of leading deal teams for the origination and execution of mandates across the 4 sectors covered by the team (Transportation & Social, Power & Renewables, Natural Resources and Telecom). Moritz has 15-years project finance experience, covering financial advisory as well as arranging of financings in the bank or bond market.

Prior to joining Natixis, Moritz worked with Deutsche Bank’s Infrastructure & Energy team. Working first out of Frankfurt, Moritz relocated in 2011 to Paris to take the lead on developing the French & Belgian markets, leading in particular deal teams on Belgium’s A11 motorway project, the Zagreb airport project and closing in France most notably the Eco-tax project. Prior to Deutsche Bank, while with the Infrastructure & PPP team of Fortis, Moritz had been involved in a large variety of infrastructure MLA situations. Moritz started his career in the telecoms team at KFW Ipex bank.
