Appointments of Daniel Klinger and Bertrand Guiot part of the optimization of Natixis’ originate-to-distribute setup in Asia Pacific
Natixis is pleased to announce the appointments of Daniel Klinger as Head of Loan Syndication, Asia Pacific, and Bertrand Guiot as Head of Global Infrastructure & Projects, Asia Pacific.
Daniel Klinger has been with Natixis since 2006. He joined the bank to establish its regional Project and Export Finance business, and from 2012 served as Head of Aviation, Export & Infrastructure, Asia Pacific. He continues to be based in Hong Kong and reports to Bruno Le Saint, Head of Global Finance, Asia Pacific and Co-Head of Investment Banking, Asia Pacific, and to Viet-Linh Ha Thuc, Head of Fixed Income and Commodities, Asia Pacific.
Daniel is responsible for the distribution of loans originated by Natixis’ Global Finance and Investment Banking businesses to commercial banks and institutional investors in Asia Pacific. His appointment is part of a reorganization of Natixis’ regional syndication function that also included the appointment of Kenneth Lee as Head of DCM Syndication in March this year.
Daniel has over 17 years’ experience in Asian banking roles focused on cross-sectorial structured finance lending, advisory and syndication. Prior to joining Natixis, he held project finance roles with HSH Nordbank and SMBC, both in Singapore, and before that was with International Power plc (now Engie Energy International). Daniel has a degree in Economics and Business Economics from Southampton University and a postgraduate diploma in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from Cambridge University.
Bertrand Guiot has been with Natixis since 2012, first in Montreal and most recently in Sydney as Head of Global Infrastructure & Projects, Australia. He will relocate to Hong Kong for his new role, reporting to Bruno Le Saint.
Bertrand is responsible for overseeing Natixis’ infrastructure, project and export finance businesses for the region. He has over 20 years’ experience across Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. Prior to Natixis, he held structured finance roles at Dexia and numerous business development positions in the telecoms industry. He has a Master’s degree in Business and Finance from ESC Lille.
Bruno Le Saint commented: “The foundation of our ongoing expansion in Asia Pacific is our originate-to-distribute model, in which our distribution of assets empowers us to originate more. The appointments of Daniel and Bertrand to their new roles are part of an ongoing optimization of our setup, with the aim of further enhancing our capacity from origination through to distribution, and so ensuring that we can provide the best solutions to meet our clients’ needs.”
